Job Summary:

The maintenance services provider, working under general supervision, provides preventive maintenance services and conducts comprehensive inspections, diagnoses, and repairs on vehicles and equipment.

Mandatory Tasks and Responsibilities:

This job demands the fulfillment of each essential responsibility to a satisfactory level to be successful. Minor duties may also be assigned.

  • Limited supervision is required when completing tasks using predetermined written instructions and established procedures.
  • Undertakes repairs and allotted measures for avoiding malfunctions.
  • Examining, diagnosing, and mending electric, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air structures on automobiles and equipment forms part of their job duties.
  • Leverages the electronic systems of vehicles to identify and diagnose failure modes for the purpose of initiating or assigning necessary repairs.
  • Ascertaining the estimated expenditures and materials needed for fixing cars and placing orders for additional parts is a significant responsibility for a professional in this field.
  • Ensures that all tasks are carried out within the allotted Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Rapid response is provided for unforeseen downtime situations.
  • It has become necessary to undertake safety inspections on vehicles to guarantee their roadworthiness.
  • To ensure accurate record keeping of vehicle repairs, parts usage, and repair times, the appropriate paperwork must be completed using fleet maintenance software.
  • Helps senior Mechanics with project responsibilities.
  • The Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports are valuable tools in maintaining the safety and proper functioning of vehicles. Repairs identified in these reports are reviewed and assigned or completed without delay.
  • Strives to maintain a secure and tidy workspace at all times, in accordance with Corporate and OSHA Standards for safety.
