Description
Chris Preble from Robert Half Finance & Accounting is working with a Syracuse client of his to find an Assistant Controller that wants career growth. This is a newly created position for the organization and has a good bonus, 401k match, benefits and work life balance. You'll be challenged here and learn a lot.
Responsibilities
- Backfill for Controller as necessary
- Define and flourish process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
- Assist implementation and assure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Support accountability and the meeting of deliverables
- Formulate relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like actual spend against budgets/outlook, key financial metrics, and the monthly flash report
- Other distinguished duties when required
- Provide assistance to the accounting team during the closing process to make certain deadlines are met
- Ready different technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
- Test and produce Ad Hoc financial reports
- Assist with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Requirements
- Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA or MBA a plus
- Solid understanding of Excel Formulas
