The position of Landfill Operative is currently open at Waste Management, and applicants are encouraged to apply. As a Landfill Operative, you will be responsible for collecting and disposing of waste materials. Job duties include operating garbage trucks, emptying trash cans, and following assigned routes for optimal performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct garbage truck operations safely and efficiently by following company protocols and traffic regulations.
• Remove waste bins from various properties, both private and public.
• Correctly dispose of garbage by emptying the waste containers into the designated garbage truck.
• Observe the specified courses of travel as directed by supervisors and follow their instructions.
• Safety must be the top priority, and that means following the established protocols and procedures at all times.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance on garbage trucks to prevent any issues from arising.
• Foster effective communication channels with both team members and supervisors to ensure streamlined and efficient debt collection efforts.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is a necessary requirement to pursue many careers.
• A clean driving record and a legally recognized driver's license.
• Expertise in safely and effectively operating waste management equipment, including garbage trucks.
• Adequate physical fitness and vigor to lift bulky garbage bins continuously.
• Safety procedure conformity and being acutely aware of details are equally critical attributes.
• Exceptional teamwork and communication skills are of utmost importance.
• The applicant must show a willingness to handle any work assigned outdoors, regardless of the weather conditions.
• Prior familiarity with waste management or related areas is desirable but not required.
