Job Description:

As the Team Leader of Oil Change Services at Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC), your role is to assist the Service Center Manager in creating a high-performing team that can deliver exceptional service to the customers. In addition to working on cars and taking care of guests, your main tasks will include advising, training, and supervising hourly employees to ensure they meet VIOC's standards.

Responsibilities:

• Providing essential car maintenance services including oil changes
• Support the Service Center Manager in the daily oversight and running of operations in the service center
• To set the tone for a fantastic guest experience, be sure to greet each guest in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Maintaining a consistent level of reliable service is crucial in building trust with customers and encouraging them to return
• Playing a key role in supporting the Service Center Manager through inventory management, labor control, and financial analysis
• Empower the team by providing leadership, guidance, and support to help them achieve their full potential
• Assisting in the maintenance of a clean and well-structured service center, ensuring a secure and hazard-free working environment
• Acquaint yourself with EHS compliance measures and other organizational policies designed to minimize risks, maintain health and safety standards, and increase efficiency

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should possess six months of leadership experience, preferably in retail settings
• A desire to collaborate with others in a customer-facing role, communicating confidently and expressively
• The ability to adhere to proper facility and security control protocols while handling cash can reduce the risk of theft or fraud in businesses
• The aptitude to sporadically hoist loads up to 50 pounds
• Possess the physical stamina to stand for prolonged durations and climb flights of stairs
• Capable of adapting to a non-conditioned workspace
• Possess unrestricted mobility and have the ability to contort, crouch, and curve
• Whether it's a traditional high school diploma or an alternative education qualification like a GED, there are a variety of options available for those individuals who want to obtain a secondary education credential
• To be considered fluent in English, one must be able to read, write and speak with ease
