The Behavioral Health Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for being a liaison between Beacon Health Options and key community stakeholder groups in the region, such as the Accountable Community of Health and Behavioral Health Advisory Board, for leading development and writing of federal block grant programs, for managing community behavioral health committees, including the Children’s Long Term Inpatient Program (CLIP) committee and Family Youth and System Round Table (FYSPRT) that emphasize consumer and community participation, and for engaging with providers, managing provider contracts and helping to resolve provider issues.

Additional duties are related to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with community organizations and provider offices, along with performing other activities that enhance Beacon’s responsiveness to stakeholders and presence in the community and advance our mission of helping individuals live their lives to the fullest potentialPrimary duties may include, but are not limited to : + Coordinates volunteer activities by planning, organizing and providing volunteer management for events.

• Responds to requests for funding.+ Tracks utilization of company contributions.+ Serves as a representative at company sponsored events.


• Develops and implements communication plans.+ Maintains relationships with external constituenciesQualificationsMinimum Qualifications : + Requires a BA / BS in communications or a related field;

1 year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
