SUMMARY: *Management Business Solutions is seeking a *Labor Relations Manager for its client in Grand Rapids, MI. The person will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures to foster positive relationships between the employer and employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and resolving labor disputes effectively and efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, implement, and oversee labor relations strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Provide guidance and support to management and HR teams on labor relations issues, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. Conduct research and analysis on labor market trends, wage rates, and industry standards to inform decision-making and strategy development. Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. Lead negotiations with labor unions or employee representatives to establish, modify, or renew collective bargaining agreements. Investigate employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary issues, and recommend appropriate resolutions by company policies and applicable laws. Stay informed about changes in labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and make recommendations for policy updates or procedural improvements as needed. Other tasks assigned. * * QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in human resources, labor relations, business administration, or related field required. 5+ years of experience in labor relations, collective bargaining, or related fields, with demonstrated expertise in negotiation, conflict resolution, and labor law compliance. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
