Business Instructor/Financial Planning (Part-Time)
Professional Golfers Career College is seeking a qualified instructor to teach our Introduction to Business course for our Temecula, California campus location. The position will require you to teach one course which runs 2 hours each a week.
Course Descriptions:
BUS 103 - Introduction to Business: This course is an introduction and overview on how a business functions. Students completing this course should have a knowledge and understanding of business vocabulary, business organization and the interrelationships of economics, business and personal careers.
BUS-171 - Personal Finacial Planning: This course is an introduction to the principles of personal financial planning topics include savings, investments, and money management
Instructor Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Build a lesson plan, provide instruction to help prepare and educate our students in all aspects of business. Provide assessment of students progress and assist students to ensure a positive learning experience.
- Manage the Classroom: Maintain class schedule, correctly provide student attendance and grade records, keep a safe and welcoming learning environment which provides opportunities for student interaction and evaluation.
- Be a Team Member: At PGCC cohesion of the faculty and instructors is essential in providing a great learning experience. You ll be expected to participate in faculty meetings and other college events. Must be a cooperative and professional team player.
- Provide Guidance and Support to Students: As an instructor, along with teaching, you are expected to act as a role model and mentor to students assisting them to accomplish their educational and professional goals.
- Be Professional: Meet Professional Golfers Career College standards of professionalism and appropriate attire and appearance.
- Continual Curriculum Development: Develop, continually refresh and revise your curriculum and instructional materials to provide the most relevant information within your course while keeping within the college requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree.
- Efficient in providing clear communication and able to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
- Computer proficient and able to use standard professional applications like Microsoft Office Microsoft Teams which support education and instruction.
- A student centric teaching philosophy placing emphasis on student learning in the execution and delivery of the courses.
- A passion for golf and the golf industry is not required, but a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 per week
