Cashier Associate

At ALDI, we're looking for Cashiers and Stockers to work together on improving the shopper's experience. As a team, you'll operate equipment, keep the shelves stocked, keep the store clean, and serve our customers to the best of your ability.

Position Type: Part-Time

The Usual Time Committed is Fewer Than 30 Hours per Week

At the commencement of their jobs, new recruits are granted an hourly rate of $18.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports team efforts and effectively relays pertinent information to their manager

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Manages end-to-end customer transactions, tidies up the store premises, restocks merchandise on shelves, and presents a well-maintained image of the merchandise
  • Customers are assisted with their shopping requirements to ensure their satisfaction
  • Reports to upper management regarding all merchandise, discrepancies in inventory counts, scanning discrepancies, and other problems
  • Joins in the process of taking inventory counts in the store following the set guidelines and ensuring that the inventory is monitored for precision
  • Losing money can be minimized by adhering to the protocols and guidelines set forth in the cash policies and procedures guide

Stocker Responsibilities:

  • Creating an optimal shopping experience by maintaining proper shelf-stocking and rotation, ensuring fresh items are always available for customers
  • Utilizing a pre-designed planogram for merchandise displays is a reliable method for generating high-quality and aesthetically-pleasing product exhibits
  • Logically arranging newly-arrived inventory and eliminating empty containers by disassembling them is a must-do
  • This job requires the candidate to be proficient in operating a variety of machinery while following all safety protocols

Physical Demands:

  • Being employed at the store necessitates performing a variety of physical motions, which comprise sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking
  • Product Stocker: Expertise in moving store commodities from receiving to shelving; ability to sort items, which may weigh up to 45 pounds, on shelves at different levels

Qualifications:
