Diesel Mechanic
Description:
Seeking all levels of Diesel Mechanics for Heavy Equipment and Truck Operations. From Entry-level with minor experience to a full seasoned diesel technician. Understanding and experience in a variety of maintenance and routine repair work on engines, engine accessories, power transmission systems on automobiles, trucks, construction equipment. Basic knowledge and understanding of testing, diagnostic and repair work. Performs other maintenance related duties as assigned.
Skills:
Maintenance, repair, and technical experience in diesel technician work
Knowledge and proficiency with general automotive tools, shop equipment and diagnostic test equipment.
Vocational, technical, military formal certificates of training in a related maintenance field may be substituted for equivalent years of experience
Insurable Driver's License required
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee
Must be able to push, pull, and reach
Must be able to work in high noise areas
Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts
Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard
Preferred - ASE Certification for brakes
Preferred - Welder certification
Class A CDL preferred
