We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to take on multiple activities and duties in the store. This role requires effectual starting-up and closing of store operations, handling cash assets judiciously, and maintaining a clean and orderly establishment, ensuring the store is business-ready. It also encompasses accepting and managing deliveries at the backdoor entrance.
The successful candidate will manage product returns and refunds, cash register voids, safe deposits, and is required to offer change at cash registers. They are also expected to exemplify and provide exceptional customer service experiences.
Customer Experience
- Interacting with customers and patients, greeting them, and offering assistance with products and services
- Addressing customer queries, resolving their issues and ensuring a positive customer experience
- Modeling and sharing best practices in customer service with fellow team members, including interpersonal etiquette (courteous greeting, eye contact, etc.) and store service traits (proactive help, identification of customer needs, satisfactory service, and more)
Operations
- Entrusted with store keys to open and close in the absence of management
- Assisting and training team members in the warehouse and vendor ordering process from creation, reviewing, to receiving orders, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries
- Responsible for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids
- Assisting with reviewing order exceptions on release day and managing reverse logistics with the manager or assistant manager
- Assisting the manager or assistant manager with display evaluation and creation, including promotional, seasonal and sales displays. Responsible for resets and revisions
- Ensuring accurate inventory count and on-hand quantity accuracy in all store locations
- Helping with Outdate program implementation among team members
- Managing everyday pricing and price changes as well as ensuring accurate product pricing signage in the store
- Assisting with bookkeeping tasks including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments
- Assisting with both external and internal upkeep to ensure a clean, orderly store condition, and requesting repairs if necessary
- Assisting with product placement and separating food items as per policies (e.g., raw and pre-cooked foods, raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves)
- Stock rotation for consumable items using the First In, First Out method as well as stocking out items
- Gaining working knowledge of store systems and equipment and assisting at Pharmacy out window as requested
- Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
- Responsible for team members' bag checks before leaving the store
- Adhering to all company policies and maintaining respectful coworker relationships
- Completing special assignments and other tasks as assigned
Training & Personal Development
- Attending training sessions and completing PPLs as requested by the manager
- Obtaining and maintaining valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as per the state requirements
Communications
- Acting as a liaison between management and non-management team members by assigned tasks to team members in the absence of store management
- Reporting disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management

Basic Qualifications
- One year of previous leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
