Commercial Fire Auto-Cad Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Fire CAD Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our fire protection engineering division, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing state-of-the-art fire protection systems for commercial buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed and accurate fire protection plans, layouts, and schematics for commercial structures.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems into building designs.
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess fire safety requirements and identify potential hazards.
- Conduct performance assessments and simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of fire protection systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated with industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance with local and national fire safety codes.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Alarm Engineering or a related is required
- Proven experience in fire protection system design, ideally within commercial projects.
- Proficiency in using 2D CAD software for creating drawings primarily for fire alarm
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety codes and standards such as NFPA, IBC, and local building codes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex fire protection challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and present technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring project deadlines are met.
Preferred Skills:
- Nicet certification is beneficial
- Suppression Engineering a plus
- Experience with other fire protection systems, such as fire alarm systems and sprinkler systems, is beneficial.
