Duties

  • Efficiently managing your time: Carefully consider the staffing needs of the store to ensure coverage during both busy and slow periods. Ensure time off requests are approved and effectively manage the team to cover shifts. Ensuring a reliable and well-structured schedule for staff. Ensuring effective communication channels to address any areas that require attention. Establishing regular communication check-ins on a weekly basis and organizing staff meetings every quarter.
  • Managing orders and inventory: Efficiently assign daily inventory tasks and regularly perform thorough inventory checks. Collaborate with vendors to ensure optimal inventory levels and make necessary adjustments based on customer demand. Collaborates with the Operations Director to revise offerings, if needed.
  • Daily Responsibilities
  • Providing guidance for bar flow, evaluating the quality of coffee, and ensuring that all steps of the drink production process are meticulously executed.
  • Efficiently managing kitchen operations, reducing waste, assigning deep cleaning tasks, and evaluating the quality of food production.
  • Maintaining a well-organized and hygienic store in compliance with NYCDOH protocols.
  • Preparing for peak times and coordinating adequate assistance

What is needed

  • Must be physically capable of standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods of up to 8 hours.
  • Utilizing a wide range of motor skills including hands, finger manipulation, hand-eye coordination, knife skills, and safe food
  • Handling tool management.
  • Utilizing vocal communication as a means to effectively engage with others
  • Fluency in English (knowledge of Spanish is advantageous)
  • Having open availability and being flexible to meet the store's needs is essential, including working weekends.
