Licensed Nursing Supervisor Key Responsibilities:

2. Staff Supervision: Supervise and direct licensed and unlicensed nursing personnel, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

3. Patient Care Coordination: Coordinate patient care activities, including assessments, medication administration, treatments, and interventions, to promote optimal outcomes and meet individualized patient needs.

4. Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care delivery, including documentation, medication management, and infection control practices, to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and case managers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans and facilitate interdisciplinary communication and coordination.

6. Staff Development: Provide education, training, and mentorship to nursing staff to enhance clinical competencies, promote professional growth, and ensure the delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered care.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) and other documentation systems, in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.

8. Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and crisis situations as needed, demonstrating proficiency in emergency protocols and providing support and guidance to nursing staff to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.

9. Resource Management: Manage staffing levels, equipment, and supplies on assigned units to optimize efficiency and ensure the availability of resources necessary for the provision of high-quality patient care.

Licensed Nursing Supervisor Qualifications:

1. RN License: Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

2. Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.

3. Clinical Competencies: Proficiency in nursing assessment, care planning, medication administration, and other nursing interventions, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.

4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

5. Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound clinical judgments and prioritize patient care needs in a fast-paced environment.

6. Team Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, resolve conflicts, and achieve common goals.

7. Computer Skills: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology platforms used for documentation, communication, and clinical decision support.
