T.R. Hoover Summer Assistant

The AmeriCorps Summer Assistant will support the T.R. Hoover Community Development Center’s Summer Program through a STEAM based curriculum that engages scholars and equips the children in the South Dallas community. T. R. Hoover Community Development Corporation afterschool program, which provides academic support and enrichment through a STEAM based curriculum that engages scholars in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math to continue to empower & equip the children in the community and highlight the dedication to uplifting the South Dallas community through collaborative partnerships.

• Members will be paid $3,000 (broken down and paid in twice monthly installments during the term- $1,466 per month)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Available from June 3-August 2, 2024


• Available 35-40 hours per week hours per week: Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm


• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Deferred action and temporary permanent resident do not qualify)


• Able to access reliable transportation


• Able to pass a criminal background check
