The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing sales leads and driving the sales process for new clients.

  • Contacts potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings

  • Conducts research to identify new markets and customer needs

  • Plans and oversees new marketing initiatives

  • Negotiates pricing to increase revenue and manage costs

  • Researches organizations and individuals to find new opportunities

  • Develops ways to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty

  • Increases the value of current customers while attracting new ones

  • Finds and develops new markets and improving sales

JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • In-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition

  • Skill in writing business proposals and negotiating pricing

  • Experience in sales, marketing or related field

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property and institutions

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction

  • Knowledge of the content and structure of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar

  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, agency rules, and company policies

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, such as word processing, managing files and records

WORKING CONDITIONS


The Business Development Manager generally works normal business hours. This position regularly works in an office setting. Travel is generally local but overnight may be required to attend conferences or meetings. They will have a high level of contact with others.
