The Partnership Program Director is responsible for the organization, delivery and quality of the Partnership Program to members, program participants and the community. This unique individual must have the ability to connect program participants with our staff, interns and trained volunteers. The Partnership Program is an adaptive, recreational, non-clinical fitness program designed specifically for people with physical disabilities. Participants of this program vary in age and ability level, but all need on-going support due to chronic diseases and disabilities. This position is responsible for program, organization, and staff scheduling.
Working towards/attaining a Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in exercise science, Recreation Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nursing or Adapted Physical Education or similar field.
One or more years of related experience with people with disabilities is recommended as well as the ability to work with people of varying needs.
Strong organizational skills.
Nationally accredited certification: NSCA or ACSM within 30 days of employment.
CPR and First Aid must be completed within 30 days of employment.
