Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. With your attention to detail and strong organizational skills, you will assist pharmacists, manage inventory, and provide support to customers. Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their medication needs
• Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and dispensing medications accurately
• Maintain inventory by receiving and organizing medications, and ensuring stock levels are sufficient
• Prepare prescription labels and ensure they are affixed to medication containers accurately
• Operate computer systems and use pharmacy software to process prescriptions and maintain patient records
• Assist with maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including proper disposal of expired medications
• Answer phone calls and assist customers with inquiries in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a pharmacy or similar healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy software
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
