Sales Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Sales Team at Sysco Intermountain, a USA I division, seeks a passionate and results-driven Sales Professional to join its Sales Team. This external Sales position aims at promoting Sysco's merchandise and services, creating enduring relationships with clients, and achieving North Salt Lake City & Ogden, UT territory's sales and profit targets. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Expand market share and strengthen customer relationships by building a strong sales pipeline and exploring new business opportunities.
  • Continuously refine and optimize the prospecting process in response to feedback, insights, and evolving goals, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assess the needs of customers' enterprises and advise a variety of offerings that correspond to those needs.
  • Ensure you are informed about the latest market developments, advancements in product technology, and competitors' products to meet customers' growing expectations.
  • Provide online resources and videos to supplement in-person training sessions, allowing customer personnel to learn at their own pace.
  • Use your own vehicle to reach customer accounts, attend industry events, and participate in company gatherings.
  • Implement solutions to address any delivery route optimization issues or other transportation related challenges.
  • Be an active participant in company functions, promotions, and events such as customer appreciation days.
  • Join in and make meaningful contributions in meetings related to sales and district matters.
  • Persistently engage in learning opportunities and lend a hand in training fresh employees as required.
  • Identify areas of potential growth and opportunity by analyzing sales data and reports.
  • Execute administrative functions that consist of preparing sales budgets and reports, updating sales records, managing credit processes, and organizing reports for accurate documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a similar discipline. Alternatively, those without a degree must have 3 years of experience in Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales.
  • If you have experience in foodservice outside sales, restaurant management, or as a chef, as well as bilingual proficiency, you would be an excellent candidate for this position.
  • An unsullied driving past and a legitimate driver's license are indispensable for the position.
  • Car insurance that includes specific limits for liability coverage.
  • Prior to being hired, candidates are required to submit to pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check) and sign the Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement to demonstrate their willingness to comply with the company's policies and expectations.
  • The availability to relocate or live close to the geographical vicinity of the region.
  • Well-versed in fundamental computer operations and proficient in utilizing MS Office suite tools.
  • Mastery in English language skills, such as reading, writing, and speaking.
