Med Surg / Telemetry Nurse - Travel Assignment

A travel nursing position is available for a Med Surg / Telemetry Nurse in Northport, Alabama. This is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, primarily night shifts. Our client is one of the top healthcare providers in the area, with a focus on quality care. The successful candidate will be an RN with an active license, BLS certifications, and a degree from an accredited nursing program. At least 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg setting is required.

• Provide care for patients pre- and post-surgical procedures.
• Attend to patients being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness.
• Administer medication and perform various treatments.
• Complete assignments made by physicians.
• Assess changes in patient's health status.
• Meticulous documentation as to medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians, and other treatment team members.
