Maxor National Pharmacy Services is looking for a compassionate, customer service oriented Pharmacy Technician to work in our Maxor managed pharamcy at Whatley Health Services Pharmacy, a clinic-based retail pharmacy located in Tuscaloosa, AL.. In this integrated model, the Maxor pharmacy team will work closely with providers and clinic staff collaboratively, providing team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component to provide optimal care for patients. Maxor National Pharmacy Services, headquartered in Amarillo, TX, manages the pharmacy, including personnel.

About Whatley Health Services
Whatley Health Services, Inc. is a private, nonprofit, community health center whose mission is to provide primary health care services to those in need. All of our services are available to children, adults, and seniors who have coverage through private insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare and others, and those who have no insurance coverage. For those with limited income, a sliding fee schedule is available who meet certain household size and income guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and take prescription orders
Convey empathy and understanding when handling customer service issues.
Operate the cash register by ringing up sales for customers
Assist in keeping the pharmacy clean and the shelves stocked
Answer the phone
Input customer information into the computer system
Qualifications:
Active pharmacy technician license in the State of Alabama
Current PTCB Certification, or ability to obtain your certification within 6 months (Maxor will assist)
A minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience
Proven track record of exemplary customer service
Computer experience mandatory
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care
Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently
