Home Depot is hiring for Retail Cashier
Position Purpose:
Cashiers assume an essential function in customer service, delivering prompt, courteous, precise, and secure service to customers. They handle transactions for Checkouts and/or Returns and also oversee and manage the Self-Checkout zone. Moreover, they acquire product/project knowledge in a proactive manner, providing customers with information and identifying potential selling opportunities. They adhere to all policies and procedures to keep shrinkage at a minimum.
The role of a Head Cashier involves organizing the placement of Cashiers and aiding them by facilitating pricing checks, endorsing Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for various registers such as Self-Checkout, Pro Desk, Returns, Special Services, and Tool Rental. Additionally, they act as the initial point of contact for customer grievances and help monitor, coach, and train other personnel in the Front-end department, which involves training new Cashiers and using all the available resources to mentor and develop them.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cashier experience of over 12 months.
