The role of the Garden Equipment Sales Representative at Lowe's is of utmost importance as it directly affects the experience of our customers. By providing assistance in selecting the right products, checking quotes and prices, and ensuring that all customer needs are met, this associate truly carries a significant role in the organization. The delivery of excellent customer service is an essential part of this associate's duties and involves listening to customers, utilizing their expertise to help customers and offering merchandise loading assistance. Any safety or security concerns around the entrance must be promptly reported by the Customer Service Associate.

The duties and obligations of a Garden Equipment Sales Representative can differ based on the specific department they are assigned to. These departments may include Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls. Depending on the needs of the organization and the qualifications of the candidate, a hopeful Customer Service Associate can expect to be considered for any of these areas.

Travel Requirements:

Although this position doesn't involve frequent trips, occasional travel may be required for attending meetings, trainings, or assisting other stores in the area.

• Working hours for full-time and part-time employees are typically 39 to 40 hours or up to 25 hours a week, respectively, with some flexibility based on store requirements.
• You must be available in the morning, afternoon, and evening seven days a week.
• The job may necessitate prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or other activities, necessitating physical ability.
• In certain stores, Greeter departments employ CSAs who are required to lift a minimum of 10 pounds on their own, though they may also lift more weight with or without help.
• For every department apart from the Greeter departments, it is mandatory for CSAs to possess the ability to lift at least 25 pounds on their own and have the option of lifting more than 25 pounds with or without aid.

Success requires hard work, discipline, perseverance, and a willingness to learn from failures and mistakes:

Minimum Qualifications:

• A half-year's worth of familiarity with computer usage, which could involve tasks like entering data, retrieving information, making alterations, or displaying output.
• Proficient in utilizing common retail technologies like tablets and smartphones after six months of hands-on experience.
• Acquisition of licenses or registrations related to sales, as per legal requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• With half a year in sales, I have gained proficiency in recognizing and promoting merchandise according to the needs of the customers. This includes pitching credit cards, add-ons, installations, as well as providing an in-depth understanding of warranties, product features, and advantages.
• Throughout a half-year stint in the retail industry, I have accumulated valuable practice in helping customers, handling any problems faced by them, and locating the products they are searching for.
• Multilingual abilities, when pertinent to the establishment.
• Obtaining certification in a trade relevant to various departments - such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials - is highly beneficial.
