As the face of Lowe's, the Outdoor Project Consultant holds a significant responsibility towards our customers. By facilitating their selection of the right products, ensuring accurate quotes and price labels, and meeting their needs, this associate plays a vital role in enhancing the customer experience. Outstanding customer service delivery is also an essential aspect of this role and requires active listening, utilizing product knowledge to provide effective assistance, and assisting with merchandise loading. Any safety or security concerns must be reported swiftly by the Customer Service Associate.

  • Normally, full-time employees are scheduled for 39 to 40 hours, and part-time employees are scheduled for up to 25 hours per week. However, additional hours may be necessary depending on the store's needs.
  • Any day of the week, including weekends, you will be required to be available in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
  • Those seeking employment must have the physical capacity to participate in prolonged standing, sitting, and other job-related activities.
  • For particular store locations, Greeter departments utilize CSAs who are expected to lift at least 10 pounds without help and may lift heavier items with or without assistance.
  • To work in any department other than Greeter roles, CSAs must have the physical capacity to lift a minimum of 25 pounds independently and could have the potential to lift weights exceeding 25 pounds with or without aid.

Developing a clear vision and setting attainable goals is essential for success:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Six months of practical knowledge when it comes to using a computer, including skills like typing, searching for data, modifying information, and generating output.
  • Acquired six months of hands-on experience in using commonly used retail technologies like smartphones and tablets.
  • Fulfillment of legal mandates by acquiring sales-related licenses or registrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • I possess 6 months of practical experience in sales, where my primary duties include recognizing and pushing items that align with the customer's needs. This includes promoting credit cards, add-on items, installations, and explaining product features, advantages, and warranties.
  • While working in retail for half a year, I have developed proficiency in handling customer complaints, resolving conflicts, and greeting customers in a welcoming and approachable manner.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, if useful for the business.
  • In order to sharpen skills and overall understanding of the tasks at hand, it is imperative to invest time and effort into obtaining a certification in a trade related to a specific department such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials.
